Why cleaning companies miss calls
Everyone is on a job
Owners and cleaners are in clients' homes and offices, and answering the phone there is awkward. The caller who wanted a quote today finds someone who picked up.
Quotes need details
The price depends on the size, the number of rooms, how often and the type of clean. A voicemail rarely has all of that, and you end up calling back to ask.
Clients change plans
Moves, cancellations and extra requests arrive by phone. Each one needs a note, a change in the calendar and a message to the team.
Commercial clients call outside office hours
Office managers and property managers often call early in the morning or late in the day. An agent that answers at any hour can take their request.
Example call to Bright Home Cleaning
- Assistant: Hi, you've reached Bright Home Cleaning. I'm an AI assistant. How can I help?
- Caller: I'd like a regular clean for my house.
- Assistant: Happy to help. How many bedrooms and bathrooms does it have?
- Caller: Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
- Assistant: And how often would you like us to come?
- Caller: Every two weeks.
- Assistant: Thanks. I can book a short visit to see the house on Wednesday at 10:00, and we'll send you a quote after. Would that work?
- Caller: Yes. My name is Joan Reyes.
- Assistant: You're booked, Joan. Wednesday at 10:00 for the quote visit.
- Quote visit booked: Wednesday 10:00
- Job: 3 bed, 2 bath, every two weeks
- Alert sent to the owner by text message
What it does for a cleaning company
Collects the details for a quote
Asks what you need to know: the size, the rooms, how often, the type of clean and the address. Everything arrives as a written summary, so you can quote without calling back.
Books visits
Checks your calendar and books quote visits and cleans straight into Google Calendar or Outlook. It can move or cancel a booking when a client asks.
Gives only the prices you give it
It can quote fixed prices you provide, such as a standard clean or a minimum charge, and says plainly that other prices depend on the job.
Reminds clients
Places reminder calls before a visit and follow-up calls afterwards. Anyone who asks not to be called again is never called again.
Speaks your clients' language
Answers in 32 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Russian. Your team and your clients can both feel at ease.
Alerts you where you already look
A text message, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Microsoft Teams or email arrives when the call ends, and a Google Sheet can keep a list of every enquiry.
Questions from cleaning services
Can it give a price over the phone?
Only the figures you give it, such as a standard clean or a minimum charge. For anything else it collects the details and tells you, so you can send a quote.
Can it handle commercial cleaning enquiries?
Yes. Tell it which questions to ask for offices, shops and rental properties, such as the size, the hours and the access arrangements, and it will collect them.
What if a client wants to cancel?
It can move or cancel the booking in your calendar and tells you straight away. If you charge for late cancellations, tell it what to say.
Does it work with my scheduling software?
It books into Google Calendar and Outlook and works with Cal.com and Calendly. Other tools connect through Zapier, Make and n8n. It has no direct link to cleaning-business software today.
Will callers know it is an AI?
Yes. It says so in its first sentence on every call, and it will tell anyone who asks. It never pretends to be a person.
How much does it cost for a cleaning company?
Pay as you go is $0.20 a minute with no monthly fee. A busy company can use Small ($59 a month, 300 minutes included) or Medium ($249 a month, 1,500 minutes included). Each phone number is $1 a month, and the first 60 minutes are free.
