Every patient call, answered.
WePickUp is an AI receptionist for medical practices and clinics. It answers when your staff are with patients, books and moves appointments, answers practical questions and sends you a summary of every call. It does not give medical advice.

Why clinics struggle with the phone
The front desk cannot do everything at once
Checking patients in, handling payments and answering the phone compete for the same people. Callers wait on hold or hang up, and the patient in front of the desk waits too.
Patients call when the clinic is closed
Evenings and weekends are when many people finally find time to book. The agent answers, gives practical information and books the first suitable slot.
Reschedules and missed appointments
Empty appointment slots cost the clinic income. The agent moves bookings when patients call, and places reminder calls to cut down on missed visits.
Most calls are practical, not clinical
Opening hours, how to get a referral, where to park, what to bring. These are quick answers that do not need a nurse or a doctor, and they fill the phone line.
Example call to Riverside Family Clinic
- Assistant: Hello, you've reached Riverside Family Clinic. I'm an AI assistant. How can I help?
- Caller: I'd like to see Dr. Okafor for a check-up.
- Assistant: I can help with that. Is this your first visit, or are you an existing patient?
- Caller: Existing patient.
- Assistant: Dr. Okafor has Wednesday at 9:15 or Thursday at 3:40. Which would you prefer?
- Caller: Wednesday.
- Assistant: You're booked for Wednesday at 9:15 with Dr. Okafor. Please bring your insurance card. If this is an emergency, call the emergency services.
- Check-up booked: Wednesday 9:15
- Existing patient noted
- Summary sent to the front desk by email
What it does for a clinic
Books and moves appointments
Checks your calendar and books straight into Google Calendar or Outlook, and works with Cal.com and Calendly. It can move or cancel a booking when a patient asks.
Answers practical questions
Opening hours, location, parking, what to bring to a first visit, how referrals work and which services you offer. You write the answers, so it says what you would say.
Sends reminders
Places reminder calls before appointments, and follow-up calls to people who missed one. Anyone who asks not to be called again is never called again.
Leaves clinical matters to your team
Tell it that prescription requests, test results and symptoms go to staff. It takes a message and tells you about it, or transfers the call to a number you choose.
Speaks your patients' language
Answers in 32 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic and Russian, so patients can book without a language barrier.
Honest, and under your control
Always tells callers it is an AI, and never gives medical advice. Recording is off until you turn it on. You decide what it asks, and we suggest keeping it to scheduling and general questions.
Questions from medical practices and clinics
Does it give medical advice?
No. You tell it not to, and it says plainly that it cannot give medical advice. It points callers to your team, and to the emergency services where that applies.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
We do not claim HIPAA compliance. We suggest keeping the agent to scheduling and general questions and not collecting health details over the phone. If your practice needs specific terms, ask us before you rely on it.
What about emergencies?
WePickUp is not an emergency service. You tell your agent what to say to urgent callers: your urgent-care instructions, a transfer to an on-call number, or a pointer to the emergency services.
Does it connect to my patient record system?
No. It connects to calendars, and to tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Sheets and Zapier, Make and n8n. It has no direct link to electronic health record or practice-management systems today.
Will patients know it is an AI?
Yes. It says so in its first sentence on every call, and it will tell anyone who asks. It never pretends to be a person.
How much does it cost for a clinic?
Pay as you go is $0.20 a minute with no monthly fee. A busier clinic can use Small ($59 a month, 300 minutes included) or Medium ($249 a month, 1,500 minutes included), and larger groups can talk to us about Enterprise. Each phone number is $1 a month, and the first 60 minutes are free.
